TETRA-MAX JS 100% ePTFE Joint Sealant

This form of joint sealant is specially processed by expanding 100% pure polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It provides a soft, highly compressible gasket for longer life and trouble-free sealing. Its form-in-place versatility cuts maintenance and storage costs. The high compressibility of TETRA-MAX JS enables it to effectively fill flange imperfections for a tight, leak-free seal. Under pressure, it provides a very wide, thin ribbon-like joint sealant. Unlike conventional PTFE which is prone to cold flow, TETRA-MAX JS has good creep resistance and bolt torque retention properties. It does not support bacterial growth or cause product contamination and is FDA-compliant. It has virtually no shelf-life concerns since PTFE is unaffected by normal environmental conditions.

The sealant is available in roll form which helps reduce storage space and is available in a wide variety of thicknesses and lengths.

Easy To Install:

Clean the sealing face
Select size 1/3 to 1/2 flange sealing width
Cut length needs to allow for overlapping
Peel the adhesive backing and apply it to the flange
Overlap the sealant at the bolt
Bolt up using recommended bolting procedures
